EPRI Steam Turbine User Group Conference

EPRI x PSG

Power Services Group (PSG) will be at the EPRI Steam Turbine Generator User Group (TGUG), Turbine Generator Workshop, and TGUG Technology Fair, January 11–15, 2027, at El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort.

TGUG is one of the most important weeks of the year for anyone responsible for steam turbines and generators. Utility engineers, plant managers, OEMs, and independent service providers gather to compare outage experience, work through current reliability challenges, and train the next generation of turbine engineers. As the leading U.S.-owned independent provider of turbine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), PSG is glad to be part of that conversation.

EPRI TGUG January 2027 at a Glance

  • Event: EPRI Steam Turbine Generator User Group (TGUG), Turbine Generator Workshop, TGUG Technology Fair
  • Dates: January 11–15, 2027
  • Venue: El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort, 10000 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85704
  • Format: In person only

The week opens with a two-day Steam Turbine, Generator, and Auxiliary Systems Workshop, split into two tracks: Generator & Auxiliary Systems, and Steam Turbine & Auxiliary Systems. Sessions cover current challenges and strategies for improving steam turbine and generator performance in fossil, combined cycle, and nuclear plants.

The TGUG members meeting follows. Wednesday brings face-to-face OEM discussions on member-chosen topics, plus an evening deep dive for newer engineers. Thursday features round tables and member operating experience, and Friday closes with a half-day subject matter expert training session.

The two-evening Technology Fair runs alongside the program. It is the best place to meet PSG and other solution providers in one room.

Why Stop by the PSG Booth

PSG gives plant owners a flexible, value-based alternative to the OEM for steam turbine and generator work. We combine the legacies of Power Plant Services (PPS), Airco Power Services, Turbine Generator Maintenance (TGM), and Orbital Energy Services (OES), with more than 115 years of combined operations behind us.

Because we are U.S.-owned and unaffiliated with any OEM, our recommendations are driven by what is best for your unit and your outage schedule. At TGUG, our team can talk through:

  • Steam turbine outage services for fossil, combined cycle, and nuclear units
  • Field services and field machining to keep outages on schedule
  • Steam path repairs
  • Valve repairs
  • Generator inspection and repair
  • Parts manufacturing
  • Specialty code welding and engineered repair solutions

If you have an outage coming up in 2027 or 2028, the Technology Fair is a good time to compare notes on scope, schedule, and repair options.

Supporting the Next Generation of Turbine Engineers

This year’s TGUG puts special focus on new and early-career engineers, with a Wednesday evening deep dive and Friday SME training built for them. PSG shares that priority. If you are new to turbine and generator work, stop by and talk with our field and engineering teams about what really happens during an outage.
