Associate Project Controller Job Description

Job located in Cape Coral, Florida

The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following in support
of PSG’s power generating equipment services project planning and execution:

Primary Functions:

  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned projects with Customer and PSG Personnel to ensure
    Customer satisfaction, a satisfactory result of PSG financials, repeat business and project success
  • Act as secondary point of contact for larger projects assigned to PSG Project Manager.
  • Work with PSG corporate management and site teams to create opportunities for project execution
    enhancements (i.e. schedule reduction, margin gain, cost reduction, extra work, etc.)
  • Manage subcontractor commercial issues
  • Ensure proper project closeouts are completed and the required project information is collected
    and distributed accordingly. This includes any required Final Reports to the Customer, project
    information for marketing, subcontractor closeouts, final cost reporting, lessons learned, etc.
  • Assist Site Lead during project execution with administrative requests and logistics as needed
  • Effectively identify opportunities for project cost reduction during project planning and
  • Assist in the management of developing and executing the overall project plan
    • Readiness Reviews
    • Manpower confirmation
    • Ensure Site Lead reviews tooling inventory
  • Project Cost Controls
    • Daily job cost and revenue tracking
    • Be knowledgeable about project financials/ answer questions as needed.
    • Send out weekly cost updates.
    • Bring project cost / finance related discrepancies to the Senior Cost Controller
    • Notify Finance of project invoicing
    • Create and issue EWA/CO’s with Site Lead input and approval
    • Review and approve customer invoices
    • Audit and approve subcontractor invoices
    • Manage consumable orders
    • Issue Purchase Orders
      • Include any customer flow-downs, project specific notes, safety/training requirements, etc.
    •  Track and follow up on subcontractor deliverables including but not limited to:
      • Onsite/delivery dates
      • Certificate of Insurance
      • Safety/Training Documentation
      • Timesheets
      • Invoices
      • Final Reports
  • Ensure all Customer and PSG processes are followed
  • As needed, support Customer pre-award and/or pre-outage requirements. This includes site meetings, schedule revisions, and work package development
  • Stay engaged with Site Lead and Resource Management to ensure dispatched craft meet expectations
  • Ensure Daily Reports are completed and distributed

  • Has experience with project cost collection and analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Adobe.
