Field Machining!

Our unique on-site shaft machining process requires absolutely no need for shaft rotation. Performed on-site, we have eliminated the issues related to removing and shipping your equipment to a shop:  costly mobilizations, exorbitant shipping costs, potential damage during shipment, valuable lay down space, and plant crane and rigging requirements. Our process can be utilized on straight or tapered shafts, in almost any location and environment. Visit our website for more information!

Safety Monday!

Winter is arriving across the U.S. Here is a tip on surviving the cold that you can tailor to the circumstances of your workplace. Adapt safety meetings to the fall hazards that are common to your work crew. Do they have to get in and out of vehicles in icy weather? Must they walk on any ramps or sloped areas as  part of their jobs? Steps, stairs, ramps, and ladders are all more dangerous in wet or icy weather, especially during night shift. Remember that moist skin can stick to freezing surfaces. Check your worksite for areas that could be a particular hazard in the cold weather and discuss them in your morning meetings. Steam Path Repairs

Diaphragm repairs are common during any steam turbine major inspection.  We pride ourselves on performing quality work and turning around the diaphragms quickly to keep your turbine outage on schedule.  The partitions of the diaphragms should be thoroughly inspected and evaluated during every major inspection to ensure there is no foreign object damage or degradation that may cause fragments to enter the flow of the steam path during continued operation.  Degradation or damage to the partitions can also reduce efficiency of the turbine and should be thoroughly evaluated by a steam path subject matter expert.   Contact us today to see how we can help you with the assessment and/or repairs on your next set of steam turbine diaphragms. To learn more about our Steam Path Repair capabilities, please view visit our website.

Safety Monday!

We have a responsibility to use what we’ve learned in our safety training and apply it to every day tasks. A large part of safety training is the creation of a safe attitude – to encourage an individual to want to be safe, and to always think safety first. It is important not just to your employer, but to you and your family as well.  Checkout our website for more safety tips!
